Refund Policy
Short version: Pro comes with a 7-day free trial — no charge until the trial ends. If you're charged and want a refund, email us within 14 days and we'll sort it out.
1. Free Trial
All new Pro subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged anything during this period.
To avoid being charged, cancel your subscription before the trial ends. You can cancel at any time from Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel. Cancellation during the trial is instant and no charge is made.
2. Monthly Subscriptions
Monthly Pro subscriptions are charged at $9.99/month after the free trial ends.
- Cancel anytime: Cancelling stops future billing. You retain Pro access until the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds after charge: Monthly charges are generally non-refundable for the current billing period. However, if you were charged in error (e.g. after cancelling, during a trial, or due to a technical issue), contact us within 14 days and we will issue a full refund.
3. Annual Subscriptions
Annual Pro subscriptions are charged at $95.88/year ($7.99/month equivalent) after the free trial ends.
- Within 14 days of first charge: Full refund available, no questions asked. Contact us at [email protected].
- After 14 days: Prorated refund for unused months, at our discretion. We will always consider exceptional circumstances fairly.
- Renewal charges: If you wish to cancel before annual renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. If a renewal charge occurs and you cancel within 14 days, a full refund will be issued.
4. How to Request a Refund
Email [email protected] with:
- The email address used for your MONOLITH account
- The approximate date of the charge
- A brief reason (optional but helpful)
We will respond within 2 business days. Refunds are processed through Paddle (our payment provider) and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
You may also contact Paddle directly for billing disputes, as they are the Merchant of Record for all MONOLITH transactions.
5. Exceptions — No Refund
- Accounts suspended or terminated for violations of our Terms of Service
- Refund requests made more than 14 days after the charge (outside of exceptional circumstances)
- Charges disputed via bank chargeback without first contacting us — chargebacks may result in account suspension
6. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution. We strongly encourage you to contact us first — we are a small team and will resolve genuine billing issues quickly.
